ISITA2020 Welcome

Message from General Co-Chairs

The symposium committee discussed the best way to proceed with ISITA2020 for all the contributors and all the expected participants. On August 11 Hawaii time, we decided to run ISITA2020 as a virtual conference. The virtual ISITA2020 opens October 24th, Hawaiian time.  Please see "Online Events" for details.

The committee continues the discussion on how to create a setting for international exchange with the aloha spirit, to provide a place for individuals, especially students, to know the joy of research, and to share new results in information theory and its applications with the world.

Stay tuned!

ISITA2020 — October 24–27, 2020 — Kapolei, Hawai’i, USA

The International Symposium on Information Theory and Its Applications (ISITA) is a leading conference on information theory. ISITA is a forum for interdisciplinary interaction, gathering leading researchers to discuss topics of common interest in the field of information theory. In 2020, ISITA marks the 30th anniversary of the first symposium.  It is also the return of the symposium to Hawai'i, where ISITA was first held in 1990, as well as in 2000 and 2012.

ISITA2020 creates a setting for international exchange with the aloha spirit, to provide a place for individuals, especially students, to know the joy of research, and to share new results in information theory and its applications with the world.

The original venue for ISITA2020 is Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Kapolei, Hawai'i on the island of Oahu. Aulani is a family-friendly hotel and resort which features numerous included amenities, such as a variety of swimming pools, slides and streams; the kids club Aunty's Beach House and 'ukulele lessons. Located on the scenic Ko Olina Beach, Aulani has easy access to kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkeling. The traditions of Hawai’i are celebrated with fireside storytelling, the luau and Hawaiian art and design throughout the resort.  Aulani is 20 miles from Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
